His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, The President of the Republic of Ghana, promised the people of Ghana in one of his COVID-19 National Address to construct 88 new direct hospitals. This brought up a lot of issues. Some people asked why not complete uncompleted hospitals rather than building new ones.
The President disclosed the new project during a meeting with chiefs and elders from Bongo, Bolgatanga and Talensi-Nabdam areas in the Upper East Region. Saying that the project commence in July.
The President said, “We intend on Agenda 88; God willing everything will be okay for us to start in July. We are hoping that by the end of June, all the arrangements that need to be done might have been completed so that by the end of July, we begin it. I want to make sure that within a year, all of those projects will be complete,”
