Ghanaian senior high students just graduated recently and the big question now is how to get to the University and what course at all will benefit their future.
So I decided to compare two of the most studied courses in Ghana which is Communication and political science.
I will first discuss my findings on communication.
It’s basically learning new forces shaping human communication thus you will learn to look at the media critically and under this course, you are train to write and speak concisely
This course covers journalism, public relations, speech communication and a lot more.
NB: it’s Flexible
Subjects you should expect under this course
*Communication/ public relations
And a lot more.
You can work in 👍🏿….
*Public relations department
*The advertisement industry
*News paper companies
NB: the maximum salary for a communication degree holder with no experience in Ghana is GH 4,410 cedis
Now let’s proceed to political science👍🏿
Political science is the study of nature, causes and consequences of collective decision and action taken by a group of people embedded in culture and institution that structure power and authority.
NB: Unlike communication, political Science is actually hard to study but with determination and consistency you can achieve your goal.
Aspects of political science
*International and comparative politics
*State and local government.
*Member of parliament
And a lot more.
A person with a political science degree’s maximum salary in Ghana is GH 9,000cedis
Compering the job advantages of both of these two denominating courses in Ghana and considering the price range, I think political science is a good course to offer.
Even though it’s a little difficult to study, determination and consistency can help one achieve their goal.
Stay tuned for more.
